Sr. IT Tech Support Technician

Land, Buildings and Real Estate

Chester Manuel says he learns something new every day in his work as a senior IT support analyst at Stanford, and from his colleagues in and outside of his department.

“There are always new business problems to solve and new things to learn in my field. Collaborating with highly talented and motivated staff makes Stanford an exciting and stimulating place to work,” he says.

Chester feels fortunate to have so many resources available to him at Stanford for recreational, athletic and intellectual enrichment, too.

Stanford’s Be Well program, which offers wellness incentives and low- and no-cost wellness and fitness classes to employees, has helped Chester improve his overall health and fitness, he says.

“Classes like boot camp, TRX training and indoor cycling have really changed my entire view of fitness.”

Chester also takes full advantage of the educational assistance programs at Stanford that help employees with some of the costs of training, professional development and degree programs.  He’s using the Stanford Staff Tuition Reimbursement Program (STRP) for a master’s program in Instructional Systems Technology.

“The opportunities to grow and improve are plentiful at Stanford,” says Chester. “My life has transformed here in a very holistic way.”
